More So Swirly...

After making yesterdays card, I wanted to use a similar colour combination again, it is just so pretty and I still had my Priceless set and So Swirly wheel out so they got a good workout. I really do love these stamps.

 

Stamps used: Priceless and So Swirly Wheel

Cardstock: Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

Ink: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

Shameless Case!

I absolutely loved this card that I found on SplitcoastStampers so I had to have a sample of it in my sample box. It looks even better in the original photo (note to self - learn to take better photos of my cards!), but in person this colour scheme is amazing.  You can see more cards by Stacy here.

Here is my version...

Priceless

I was looking for a simple card that would easily work for workshops that would showcase wheels with matching sets. I decided to use Priceless and So swirly together, because I really love the classic look of those stamps. First I used a Basic Black and Whisper White palette but quickly found that this layout would work in just about any colour combination, so next I used Pale Plum with Perfect Plum, and then I had to use the in-colors so used Soft Sky with Blue Bayou.

More Crew Kids Girl

I have another 2 layouts from this kit to show. In total I have 7 pages made from the kit, which is a bit of a record for me. I get frustrated trying to decide on layouts and colours and all the other decisions that go into a page. This is why I love these kits so much. I found it went together so quickly. I used sketches from Page Maps which made the layouts easy as well. I do love sketches, so I'll be using them a lot more as I continue my scrapping journey.

   

Gotta love the Simply Scrappin' Kits!

I've recently decided to do a lot more scrapbooking as well as cardmaking, so my first pages with Stampin' Up supplies had to be Simply Scrappin' kits. I got the Crew Kids Girl and Boy kits (because I have a daughter and 2 sons, so I will make more pages for their albums). I love, love, love them!

The ease with which I could make quick pages was fantastic. After I used up the papers in the kit, I still had accessories from the kit to use, so I'll be making cards using them up as well.

I really enjoyed making these, and I have more to show you tomorrow from this kit.

Starting Anew

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. For those of you waiting for more, I apologise profusely for allowing my blog to be abandoned.

As many of you would know, we moved our family from our Sydney home to a new life in Melbourne. 8 months have passed and in that time we have built our own home, whilst living out of boxes in temporary residences. We are now in our wonderful new home, and all are settled.

One of the highlights for me is that I now have a craft room, somewhere just for me, to create and enjoy this hobby of ours.

I've done quite a bit recently and will be updating my blog regularly now, so watch for new samples, ideas and class schedules coming your way.  I will be running regular weekly and monthly classes in my home, as well as conducting workshops in your home if you would prefer. Feel free to contact me for more information. Meantime, keep eyes peeled for more photos and posts.
